A Bun Dance

I like to mark

The Longest day

In my own special way

I give thanks

And take the chance

To shake a leg with

A-Bun-Dance

A-Bun-Dance

At Midsummer

Anywhere you like

While the icing’s soft

And the cherries are still ripe

Before the dough goes stale

And the currants are too hard

Sieze the moment

Raise your bun

And say hiphip to the Sun

This is a very silly poem written to celebrate the Solstice and for One Shot Wednesday at the One Stop Poetry Website
